Okay folks I have a good idea why the news and the stats are broken... yesterday I sent our web host a request for information on this subject... but they havent gotten back to me yet.... it would seem this is a host issue... so thanks for all the offers of help... and Im sure the web host will fix this as soon as they can...

Well folks here we go again.... I found the stuff to change the data base permissions... but for some silly reason it would appear something else is broken.... what is the broken object.... heck who knows... I sure dont....
While driving home this afternoon I decided to do things a different way.... I wanted to use a database on the web host.... soooo sure enough I tried to login to it... and can ya guess?
yeah it too didnt function....I send out a call to the cavialary (sp?)...But who knows when or what will come from it....

from my point of view this is every bit as frustrating as the down time... errr accually more so frustrating... I cant seem to do jack.... and I wonder if this is an error on my part... or? but it worked before the downtime... and I fixed all the DB permissions... so who knows... I sure dont at this moment...

soo you ask... why am I spelling out all this?.... I would say to mull over the problem yet again... and maybe get a new idea for a plan of attack...

well folks it would seem things are closer to being back to normal.... almost... the recent fix has dorked the old permissions for the news data base.... while this would not normaly be a big thing... I cant seem to connect to the data base to fix the permissions... this would appear to be a version issue... and somewhere in the middle I got stuck... so you ask... what does this mean... it means the news wont be fixed or updated untill I figure this out... shezz updates here updates there... they are everywhere...
